This post is dedicated specially to all my students….for those who read my blog…ada ke???huhuhu
Math… I love math so much…but I don’t say that I am really good in Math or I’m so genius in this subject… even I don’t get a good result in add math in SPM although my Modern Math was A1…
As time goes by…I realized that I love Math so much and because of that I struggled to obtain good results in Math subjects when I was in UiTM…and Alhamdulillah I received 4 times of “Anugerah Cemerlang Matematik” in my faculty and I even received the highest award at that time (Pingat Dato’ Ali)… I am not show off with my achievement, what I am trying to say is I want to explain to you that when you have keen of something, you heart and your mind will automatically work for it. Let say if you like to cook, you always trying to make a very special dish every time you want to cook…another example…if you like to read a comic, you will read all your favorite comics (sometimes expensive comics no matter what it will cost you)…meaning to say you will do anything to get what you want to achieve if and only if you have interested in it. In other words, you won’t have any effort to get something that you don’t even like it…
What I am going to tell you is related with my students… most of them, they don’t like Math and their basics are soooo poor… now you can imagine without interest and without a good foundation in Math, they really cannot do in Math… even I gave them simple calculation (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fraction) …. They can not do it… even I gave them open book test also they cannot do it…
I almost cried when I see my students like this… I am so sad because they are Malays… anak bangsa aku… apa nak jadi… I know that Poli is trying to provide a place for the students “yang result SPM mmg x layak nak mtk keje” to further their studies but what really makes me feel so sad is these students don’t take full opportunity that have given by our govnmt. to study and become “someone” in future…
I helped them a lot…tp aku gak yg sakit hati balik…mmg sakit hati…try to imagine, I told them that the test will be in a week time…be prepared…as time I want to give them the test dgn selamba diorg ckp…”Cik x ready lagi…x study lagi”… that time only Allah knows my feelings… what I have done to them quite drastic and made them apologize to me but again…it happened again yesterday when I gave them Quiz…all the time (quiz) I was nagging to them and I tried to motivate to them…but I was fuming yesterday… so angry till I said something that made them stunned…
What made me so angry was…they told me “bukan x blh buat cik…malas je”… now you know what kind of students Politeknik produce… well, I am not mentioning all of them… a few of them only who have attitude problem…
Got to go… I have calculus class after this…got to do some preparation

u see…this is why i like to read my friend’s blogs. they will tell me whats going on in their life, without us even metting each other.
pengajar kan takleh putus asa. bile jadi camni, aku jadi hot temper, pastu aku akan bwat derk dah. sbb tu aku taleh mengajar. sbb tu la tuhan cipta org cam ko kat dunia ni. so that ko bleh mengajar org cam diorg. ko je la harapan diorg.
u need a trick. a guidance to teach people lika that. cuba tanya taiko2 yg berpengalaman. ada byk movies pasal cikgu2 yg mampu ubah student. watch movies like that. im not kidding! it helps give u courage.
just a thought - maybe u can meet ur students, one by one. one on one with u, just to ’sembang’…..
betul2…mmg kena kasi saiko n trick tuk ubah diorg.. ada byk cara nak dekatkan diri dgn stdnt…so far aku ada buat a few of them touching dgn apa yg aku buat kat dior… hehehe…thanks piza n farin…coz encourage aku… muah
Hahaha….sabar jer…dah dasar jd lecture budak poli….kuat kan semangat….walaupun bdak poli nie lemah+lembab tp ingat diorg jugak manusia yg mampu berubah menjadi manusia yg berguna satu hari nanti….dah asam garam jd cikgu nie kena byak sabar…..hehehe tp dlm2 byak budak poli yg paling xthan cik mar nie pon jatuh hati kat bkas bduak poli gak hehehehe..dah takdir…..
p/s: asyik ajar math jer..try ler mintak tukar ajar pendidikan islam tgk hahaha…or ajar masak2 ker baru tau….heheheh just joke…tp sirus sy suka math dulu masa belajar…dah abis balajar suka kat cigu math lak tue…hehehe
hello… fyi, result dak poli most of them act blh msk u…
even ade yg 7 8 a’s but i dont know what’s the prob that their application is not accepted…
n not just because u msk uitm, u dh ckp bgs… huh, like i don’t know that some of the uitm students result r lower than the poli’s students…duh… i know this because i’ve been 2 uitm… and i also know how the students attitude… so, as a lecturer, u shouldn’t talk 2 about ur students like that…

i am not saying all the poli students are like that… i had mentioned a few of them only… and I do have students who have a really good results in SPM but as you said unfortunately their application to enter U was failed… i realized that not all uitm’s students are good even most of them also are worst than poli students,,,i admit it… so fair and square la kan…i dun even mention in my post that uitm students are good…anyway thanks for your good comment, i really appreciate it..dun worry…i always pray to my student to pass their exam with flying colors… even i said something that made them stunned also i said something that can burn their spirit to become a real person… wallahualam…
be patient erk mar.. don’t bother anyone says. the most important thing is u’r feeling. i thinks that u just need empathy not criticism n that the women’s attitudes ( i just read a book, title : Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus. i recommend u to read that book too )
i really got the same experience. n i thinks every one knows who is kolej komuniti students look alike, rite? they just pass SPM n can qualify n apply to kk.
so don’t be so sad. and always remember that “TEACHING IS WORK OF HEART”
